Final Conference in Cordoba 17th-18th December 2015

It will be with occasion of the celebration of SMOT final event in the city of Córdoba.

Find in this link the Agenda of the event once again with some minor extra information, mainly about the people participating in the opening ceremony and the final place of the event as there were two possibilities previously.

As you know on Thursday we will expose our project results to a wide audience, counting with ENPI CBC MED representation also, some of you are coming accompanied with political representatives and technical staff of your administrations in charge of urban planning what is simply great. This will be a day for communicating results and sharing the project experience. Friday morning will be the moment for SMOT team discussing what is pending and how to closure properly technically and administratively. Remember all pending tasks must be finished by 31/12/2015- communication tasks, capitalisation meetings, meetings of the participation process and pilots also.

Finalised POLICY GUIDELINES will be delivered to you all during Final Event.

Find below a map with the exact location for the event. The plan is we all meeting there at 9:30 h on Thursday morning. All the hotels are very near, at a close walking distance.
Moreover, most of you already know Cordoba city centre somehow .

Info Day in Cordoba

On Thursday November 12 took place the day GTOS info Project in the city of Cordoba.

Both Sadeco as the University of Cordoba (UCO) made a broadcast among citizens of the objectives and purpose of our project.

Young and old were properly informed of the process to date and solutions that each country will adopt in their cities to the waste tank.

In the streets of the city also surveys were conducted and brochures to promote the event were distributed.

Also a sample of the items made in the workshops of recycling took place.

Second Participation Process in Cordoba organized by Sadeco and University of Cordoba

This Thursday, July 2nd , we have conducted another meeting for the participatory process of SMOT Project.

Sadeco and UCO have invited the stakeholders to the meeting for dialogue and discussion on the solution decided as pilot in Córdoba, the waste room.

The location chosen in this meeting has been the Faculty of Philosophy, in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Cordoba.

We have participated in the Technical Meeting of UNESCO in Santiago (Spain)

IMG_1521Technical Meeting of UNESCO heritage cities took place last week in the city of Santiago de Compostela during 7th and 8th May.
Twenty technicians from 15 cities Heritage Cities of Spain met there in a two days conference “Managing environmental vectors in historic Heritage Cities Humanity Spain, bird control and waste collection”.

Throughout the two sessions the 15 cities shared experiences and programs undertaken in the field of bird control and waste collection, these two areas of work have a special treatment in the case of Heritage Cities because of the configuration of their historic centers and the need of protection and preservation of properties located.

Jesus Diz, responsible for SMOT Project in Sadeco, reviewed the different solutions for waste management in the cities of our project.
